IN MEMORIAM The Winters Education Foundation is sad to announce the passing of Board Member Russ Lester. WEF, and indeed the Winters community, lost a giant of a man who was a firm believer in the importance of public education and worked tirelessly to support our Winters schools. Serving 20 years on the Winters JUSD Board of Trustees, over 10 years on our WEF board, volunteering and demonstrating equipment at Farm Day and hosting class tours of his ranch, Russ backed up his beliefs with action. WEF offers its sincere condolences to Russ’ family and friends.
